KET’s Workplace Essential Skills for Information Technology allows learners to improve reading, writing, and math skills. Workers in information technology companies must be able to understand orders, communicate with co-workers,
think independently, and make critical decisions related to customer service. All contract fulfillment and customer support is administered by teams of information technology workers, making the need for effective verbal and written communication imperative! Math skills are also critical to the information technology industry. Learners can practice math conversions for digital measurements, analysis for planning, synthesizing orders, charts, graphs related to programming and technological support and much more. Lessons include embedded videos that are contextualized to the information technology sector, helping learners to stay focused as they apply the skills learned to work with technology clients.
